new zealander julien dyne is a multi-instrumentalist with a long and impressive history of collaborative, live and solo musicianship. best known for his solo work on bbe and having worked with the likes of theo parrish, steve spacek, andreya triana and lord echo - one of soundway’s most successful artists. dyne has also accumulated a number of accolades over the course of a 10-year career including but not exclusive to being hotly tipped by both moodymann and gilles peterson.

brother and sister eric and arrontette mcclinton had been recording for many years. around 1976 they did a 45 release together on honey records called -where you are- under the their christian names, although eric was spelled eryke! the single didn’t have much success but both brother and sister still went on to be amazing backing singers working for legendary producers mike theodore and dennis coffey. whilst they were under the watchful eye of the production team they recorded some material again and a duo for theo/coff in a bid to get them another record deal and show their capabilities. these songs never got releases. eric became and prolific song writer and also joined the group high fashion. we are super pleased to finally release the shelved songs from 1978. this in one of two releases by the duo.

bordello a parigi is on the hunt once again, this time journeying to southern france to unearth an up and coming sect of synthesizer sorcerers: blind delon. hailing from toulouse, the triumvirate of mathis kolkoz, théo fantuz and coco thiburs offer a sound that combines indie and wave with seemingly effortless execution. the soft interlude of -sometimes- introduces assassin. a groove grips pulsing rhythms, subtle strings and throaty vocals in the captivating -sombre soleil-. those vocals become even deeper in the dreamy -j ai honte-. smoke spirals around keys in this brooding work of guitars rifts and bruised egos. the title piece perfectly melds warm strings with cold synthlines for a superb climax to an ep that exudes modern synth-wave chic.

manchesters garth be has long been associated with wolf. long time fans may be familiar with all the thrills released back in 2009 on wolfep003, a track that is still played by the likes of move d today. the past seven years have seen garth perfecting his craft and launching his sweet sticky label. the seven movements was his debut full-length in 2014 on the label. that same year, it was rightfully placed in the top 5 of both phonica records and piccadilly records end of year lists, with very accurate comparisons to the likes of floating points, theo parrish, kyle hall and moodymann. here garth presents his first full ep for wolf with six jams for the mind, body and soul.

in 1980, during her run on broadway in the musical, ain’t misbehavin’ and before being cast in dreamgirls, singer/actress and detroit native roz ryan teamed up with the legendary team of dennis coffey and mike theodore on a six song album that wound up being unreleased. recently, the folks at super disco edits released this 45 featuring roz’ taking on preston glass’ “keep shining” b/w “put love back” (composed by eric mcclinton). both tracks were from the theo-coff sessions and make their debut for lovers of dancin’ (“keep shining”) and romancin’ (“put love back”). enjoy!

after his banging ep 1 on aus, tee mangos back for the 5th installment in his tribute project, inspired by the much referenced theo parrish quote: love of the music should be the driving force of any producer, performer or dj. everything else stems from that core, that love. with that love, sampling can become a tribute, an expansion on ideas long forgotten, reconstruction, collage. time is now time is now comes off like adamski era seal rerub for the small hours. replete with hypnotic looped piano and drums sounding like they were lifted from vaughan mason s raze house archive. simply sweet sweet electronic music. make it last forever the b side is tee mango on home turf, with a selection of choice samples under his cap (from a record you might recognise), some simple loose sampled drums and a smattering of dub delay. love for this series coming from: axel boman, benji b, artwork, fred p, and a heap of others. these tribute releases sell out pretty quick, my hunch is that these will not hang about.

here we have the very special return of the synonymous tom blip to the blip discs label since 2015 s endlessly re-pressed wrong guanco . sentimental strings kicks off with notes of early 2000s daft punk hands-up-in-the-air euphoria before politely cannonading into hints of theo parrish kick-drum chaos midway through, whilst a commingling of orchestral disco sample heaven, twinkly scintillation and sonic messages from the stars constitutes the b side, there were no signs. early support coming in strong from midland, gerd, francis inferno orchestra and more...

new york meets brighton as both label and artist step out on wax for the first time. this is a new, exciting realm for homage, but they surely know they re onto a winner with the feel good disco edit tones of tech support. there are classics embedded into these fine jams, with -feel it- coming on particularly summery in its laid back disco funk stylings. -inside out- is slightly more looped up, but no less uplifting, while -clarity- heads into a more woozy, filtered groove that feels inspired by the likes of theo parrish s ugly edits. by way of contrast -sugar- is a much more electronic affair that kicks with purpose while simultaneously reaching for the stars.

grandi successi is a project by angelo sindaco and maurizio carli moretti with guests like raime drummer valentina magaletti, soft moon matteo vallicelli, impro-avant combo starfuckers, jonathan clancy (singer of his clancyness) plus contemporary artist claudio corsello and writer-performer emidio clementi. angelo sindaco started producing electronic industrial music on tape in the mid 80 and dark techno during the nineties, releasing albums for acv, minus habens, eukatech and more. he has been the first techno dj in bologna (italy) at link club sharing decks with underground resistance, aphex twin, theo parrish and many others. maurizio carli moretti started djing in 1981 opening for killing joke and contorsions acts and then performing in clubs and art galleries mixing dark wave and electronic music.
